The Company

The Role

Reporting into to the Head of Engineering Capital Projects, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the capital program and communicate clearly with both short and long terms plans and provide insight and value to the business.    
  • Being responsible for scope development, timings and costs of all projects as well as involvement in finalization of capital documents for projects to get official budget approval.
  • Providing key technical insight especially across the mechanical, electrical and civil engineering disciplines to ensure projects are accurately and commercially specified to meet the specifications / requirements.
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure correct ordering and negotiating of all equipment, securing of contractors, purchasing of equipment to complete installation and commissioning phases.
  • Manage the schedule, timing and budget to keep projects on track and provide regular reporting around timing and budget back to Senior Management.
  • Ensuring contractors are completing project phases on time in budget, and re-align them if required.

Your Background

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, project management or related fields. Electrical qualifications advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience within a complex FMCG environment, in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to motivate, influence and engage a broad group of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities of a fast paced environment and conflicting demands and timelines through analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commercially astute with a demonstrated understanding of financial management and the procurement process.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodology and the ability manage, report on and execute complex capital projects.
  • Experience developing capital programs and an ability to plan and prioritize the deployment of capital would be advantageous.
