Our client is a leader across their space boasting 50+ years of history and holding a significant market share across their industry. On the back of continued growth the business is looking to recruit an experienced Demand Planner to work with the wider planning team executing critical activities to ensure success across their function. This role is a critical position in a business that strives to provide high quality products and optimal service to customers in the most efficient manner, based on site, and reporting to the Planning Manager, this role will be a full-time permanent opportunity based in South Central Brisbane and can offer 2 days working from home.  

The Role
The key responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to;

• Developing and maintaining forecasting models based on industry trends, historical data and input from external stakeholders overseeing critical items in your portfolio.
• Utilising and developing forecasting tools to predict future demands, performing analysis projects/ building models in line with wider strategic visions.
• Working cross functionally with sales, marketing and the warehousing team to achieve wider planning targets.
• Coordinating with external stakeholders to align plans and forecasts.
• Working proactively to identify and mitigate challenges/issues in a timely manner.

 
Your Background 

• Ideally 2-3 years in a retail or FMCG environment, with direct experience of new product development project delivery and/or Supply Chain Planning.
• Microsoft Excel and SAP experience is critical.
• An understanding of supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, inventory management, logistics, customer service.
• Highly organised with effective time management.
