About Us

My client is an Australian family-owned business, who began operating in Western Australia more than a decade ago and since have grown into a leader in their category nationally.

Due to an extended period of unprecedented growth, they are looking to add a new business development manager to their Victorian team. This will be the second new addition in the last 3 months, and they have plans to continue to grow the team further over the next 18 months
This headcount growth will be inline with revenue growth and margin contribution but will potentially lead to future leadership opportunities in the state for the successful candidate.

The business is also the only true vertically integrated business in their category, meaning that they are more competitively priced than the 2 biggest competitors with no sacrifice to quality of the product and a service that sets them apart.
 
About the Role

  • Drive the businesses value proposition in Melbourne
  • Channel of focus is HORECA and QSR
  • Build relationships with senior leaders in your channels of focus
  • Caretake existing accounts to form strong partnerships with customers
  • Drive growth through the onboarding of new business accounts
  • Work closely with the operations team facilitating the onboarding of new customers

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 1 year + experience in food sales in the HORECA/QSR channel in Melbourne
  • Driven and self-motivated go getter with a hunter’s mentality
  • The ability to negotiate and close sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • The ability to build organic relationships and high level of integrity
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience using CRMs
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
