Engineering Manager – Electrical & Controls
A cutting-edge clean energy technology company is seeking an Engineering Manager to play a critical role in the development, design and implementation of its control systems and electrical infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership position, responsible for guiding a small team and driving the design, integration, and optimisation of this structured electrical and software development.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and integration of electrical and distributed control systems for complex energy systems
- Develop functional specifications, architecture, and structured engineering documentation to support product development
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of electrical and control systems engineers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, software, and systems engineering
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement robust engineering solutions to improve system performance and reliability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to product innovation
About You
- Proven experience in electrical and control systems engineering within power generation, renewables, or industrial process environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience, either formally or as a technical lead
- Strong understanding of structured engineering design and development practices
- Experience with PLCs (IEC 61131 environments), industrial networking, and control system integration
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, structured cabling, and distributed control systems
- Comfortable working across both Windows and Linux operating environments
