An exciting opportunity for a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead a large team optimising strategy, processes and performance.
The Company
This manufacturing business has delivered excellent results through a strong focus on reducing cost through better processes and driving plant reliability. To continue developing in this area and keep delivering great results, they are now recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join their site in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
The role
Reporting into the Head of Engineering and sitting within the Site Leadership team, your responsibilities will include;
- Develop and implement the maintenance strategy across the site.
- Lead and develop the maintenance strategies and team within the plant, ensuring KPI’s around; OEE, machine reliability, uptime, stoppages and OH&S are adhered to.
- Developing the maintenance team in fault finding techniques, RCA, Fishbone Diagrams and other methodologies to facilitate a thorough and proactive maintenance culture.
- Life cycle management of site asset base, obsolescence and capital upgrades.
- Conducting in depth machine analysis to properly detect and predict machine issues before they arise.
- Providing proactive health and safety leadership in all aspects of asset management from design through to workplace safety documentation and management.
Your background
In order to be successful in this role, you will be:
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, being either mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or similar – Required.
- Must have experience working within fast paced manufacturing sector, ideally within the FMCG space.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing maintenance strategies to bring about a proactive and preventative maintenance culture.
- Formal qualifications/training in Root Cause Analysis techniques, as well as CI methodologies, including; 5S, Lean and/or Six Sigma.
- You will be a strong communicator, both verbal and written with excellent problem solving abilities.
- Strong ability to manage large teams of maintenance trades in a manufacturing environment.
