The Company
Our client is one of the largest and leading food manufacturing businesses in Australia within their category. They are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join their team to continue driving improvements to supply their customers with products of the highest quality.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include;
- Facilitate and manage day-to-day maintenance activities and processes.
- Working autonomously and with project teams to manage the program of planned capital works.
- Manage and standardise preventative, corrective and condition-based maintenance systems ensuring plant availability.
- Ensure that maintenance requirements are met and within the parameters of safety, cost, and maintenance schedules.
- Lead and develop the maintenance strategies and team within the plant, ensuring KPI’s around OEE, machine reliability, uptime, stoppages, and OH&S are adhered to.
- Deliver reactive and preventative maintenance support to ensure plant has minimal lost time due to mechanical failures/faults.
- Take a CI approach to increasing productivity and efficiency.
- Assist and manage the implementation of quality management systems and food safety systems.
- Prepare regular reports on status of maintenance activities around the site.
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience:
- Trades background – ideally Fitter or Electrician. Also open to engineering qualifications within mechanical or electrical disciplines.
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing sector, ideally within the food or beverage manufacturing space.
- Experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
- Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP and Australian Standards.
- Extensive experience developing and implement maintenance strategies to bring about a proactive and preventative maintenance culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
