Our Client

Our client is a leading food manufacturer with a trusted brand, creating high quality products loved by Australians for years. They have built a strong reputation for their premium products which has contributed to their success, enabling them to continuously invest and grow. After a recent restructure, our client is now seeking a passionate Production Manager, who will be based in their site located in Liverpool, NSW. 

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include;

  • Effectively manage a medium sized production team, with a focus on continued development across people to build a strong team consistence with growth across the site.
  • Drive a safety first culture and promote staff to identify and implement OH&S improvements.
  • Educate, coach, engage and develop to create high performing team to achieve/exceed KPI’s.
  • Meet all targets across employee engagement, OEE, safety, quality and any other KPI’s set by the Manufacturing Manager on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Contribute to plant improvement initiatives through active leadership and implementation of LEAN and CI methodologies.
  • Work cohesively with other business units including Engineering & Maintenance, Quality and Warehousing to develop and implement strategies to meet common goals across plant performances.
  • Ensure all operational reports are reported accurately and in a timely and professional manner.

Your Background
 
To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience:  

  • Experience in a similar production leadership role, within the food/pharma manufacturing industry.
  • A strong leadership background and skillset, with an ability to coach and develop team leaders/supervisors and operators to deliver excellent results.
  • Experience with driving and monitoring key performance measures focusing on yield analysis, labour costs and waste.
  • Proven experience in LEAN manufacturing and delivering change as well as implementing continuous improvement.
  • Experience with implementing and monitoring performance of the quality, safety and production team, including the setting measurement of team objectives and KPI’s.
  • A hands-on leader with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong communication, coaching, consultation, and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders as well as being able to connect with people at different levels.
