This is a great opportunity to join a leading Australian FMCG manufacturing business as their Production Supervisor.
The Company
Our client is a rapidly expanding and recognised food manufacturer with a trusted brand, creating high quality products for their customers across the nation. With an enviable brand presence, they are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their site in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, your responsibilities will include;
- Effectively manage a production team of approx 10, with a focus on continued development across people to build a strong team consistent with growth across the site.
- Drive a safety-first culture and promote staff to identify and implement OH&S improvements throughout the operation.
- Educate, coach, engage and develop to create a high performing team to achieve/exceed KPI’s.
- Lead the production team to meet targets across OEE, throughput, production efficiency, safety and quality.
- Contribute to plant improvement initiatives through active leadership and implementation of LEAN and CI methodologies.
- Ensure all operational reports are reported accurately and in a timely and professional manner.
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience:
- Experience in a similar production leadership role, within the FMCG industry
- Understanding of area level KPI’s such as OEE, production efficiencies, yield
- A strong leadership background and skillset, with an ability to coach and develop Team Leaders and Operators to deliver results.
- Experience with implementing and monitoring performance of the quality, safety and production team, including the setting and measurement of team objective’s and KPI’s.
- A hands-on leader with a can-do attitude.
