As the Site Operations Manager you will ensure the continuation of best in class systems and processes at this state of the art facility.
 
The Role
 
Reporting to the National Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Focussing on staff development & training, transferring of knowledge and the implementation of the best practice including preventative maintenance plans and general plant systems and process.
  • Attracting, hiring and supporting a factory based team, and their reports.
  • Implementing KPI’s to deliver on safety, productivity, OEE, quality and operational improvement.
  • Driving a high performance culture focussed on achieving and exceeding KPI’s.
  • Educate, coach and facilitate operational expectations, lead initiatives through the managers and supervisors.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans for the plant, encompassing all functions on the business when necessary.
  • Identify weaknesses and develop solutions in regards to staff and process.

 
Your Background
 
To be considered for this role you will have a background and experience in the following areas:

  • Manufacturing leadership experience within a fast paced industrial environment, with the ability to build a positive manufacturing culture.
  • A track record of being able to coach and develop managers and operators to deliver excellent results.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with engineering, quality, continuous improvement and OH&S functions.
  • Strong communication, coaching, consultation and negotiation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders including senior management, line mangers as well as permanent and casual shop floor employees.
  • Experience working with unions.
  • Passionate about people and processes with a high energy approach.
