Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing

Rate $45 + super + overtime + shift loadings

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well established food manufacturing site in Adelaide. This is a hands on role working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting production through proactive and reactive maintenance.

About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard to minimise downtime and support safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on food manufacturing equipment
• Fault finding and repairs on mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and packaging machinery
• Perform changeovers and continuous improvement tasks to optimise plant performance
• Assist with planned shutdowns and maintenance schedules
• Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety, quality, and OH&S standards
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime

About You

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in food manufacturing / FMCG environments
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong safety mindset and understanding of GMP environments
• Flexibility to work shifts (if required)
