My client is looking for a Tooling Engineer to support manufacturing, focusing on tooling maintenance, precision inspection and production readiness.
The Company
My client is a leading FMCG manufacturer, recognised for producing high-quality consumer-grade goods. With a strong reputation for quality and continued investment in manufacturing capability, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Tooling Engineer to join their maintenance team and support critical production operations.
This role is based in Sydney.
The Role
Reporting into the Maintenance function, the responsibilities of the role includes:
• Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, polishing and minor repairs on compression tooling
• Inspecting and measuring tooling using precision instruments to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
• Managing tooling inventory, ensuring accurate identification, storage and documentation
• Supporting production by ensuring tooling is maintained to a high standard and ready for use
• Maintaining accurate documentation in line with safety and Good Documentation Practices
• Working closely with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and product quality
Your Background
In order to be successful in this role, you will be:
• Technically qualified within Mechanical Engineering, Precision Machining or similar
• Experienced in a tooling, maintenance or mechanical role within a manufacturing environment
• Familiar with machine tools and precision measurement equipment
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and SOPs
• Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable working in regulated environments such as FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar
• A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a focus on safety and quality
