Maintenance Fitters

Afternoon Shift | FMCG | Elizabeth South• $90,000–$100,000 + Super + OT • 15% Afternoon Shift Loading
Monday–Friday | 2pm–10pm • Full workshop onsite + strong career progression
We are seeking two experienced Maintenance Fitters to join a fast‑paced FMCG manufacturing site.
This is a permanent opportunity within a tight‑knit maintenance team supporting a 24/5 operation.
You’ll complete six weeks of training on day shift (6am–2pm) before moving into a permanent afternoon shift (2pm–10pm) Monday to Friday.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance across high‑speed production equipment
• Troubleshooting mechanical faults under pressure
• Stainless steel TIG/MIG welding
• Working with pumps, valves, gearboxes, hydraulics and general food‑grade machinery
• Supporting two major planned shutdowns per year (1–2 weeks each)
• Contributing to a collaborative, close‑knit maintenance team

A fully equipped workshop is onsite, including a lathe, drill press, and all required tools (own hand tools would be beneficial).

What We’re Looking For

• Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Strong TIG/MIG stainless steel welding experience
• FMCG or high‑speed manufacturing background
• Proven reactive maintenance capability
• Ability to read basic sensor systems (PLC exposure highly regarded)
• Team‑oriented, reliable, and calm under pressure
• Willingness to support shutdowns and overtime when required

Candidates with service/field experience or strong breakdown‑repair capability (not just part‑replacement) will be highly regarded.
