General Manager – Health, Safety & Chain of Responsibility

The Role
This newly created, critical role will work directly with members of the executive leadership group, driving a high-performing safety culture, focusing on these key responsibilities:

Key responsibilities

• Lead and embed a proactive, enterprise-wide safety strategy
• Drive a strong safety culture from leadership through to frontline operations
• Provide executive oversight of Workers Compensation and wellbeing programs
• Own and govern the organisation’s Chain of Responsibility (CoR) framework
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and transport legislation
• Oversee incident management, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Deliver meaningful reporting, insights and performance outcomes
• Build and lead a high-performing Health & Safety team
• Influence senior stakeholders across operations, supply chain and leadership

 
Your Background
You are a strategic safety leader with a strong operational mindset and the ability to influence at executive level.
To be successful in this position, you must have the following:

• Extensive experience in Health & Safety, including senior/executive leadership roles
• Experience operating within large scale manufacturing or high-risk environments across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated ability to set strategy and deliver measurable improvement
• Strong expertise in legislation, governance and risk management
• Proven ability to lead, influence and drive cultural change
