Workshop Supervisor opportunity based in Tullamarine to lead maintenance operations, manage teams, ensure safety, quality, and workshop efficiency.

Our client a leading Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical systems supplier are currently recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to join the team based at their Tullamarine Workshop.
The workshop supervisor is required to oversees the day-to-day operations the workshop, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Prioritising urgent breakdown repairs.
  • Allocating jobs to technicians and tradespeople based on skills and workload.
  • Monitoring progress to minimise downtime.
  • Leading maintenance technicians.
  • Providing technical guidance and support.
  • Monitoring productivity and workmanship.
  • Training and mentoring staff.
  • Enforcing workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Ensuring repairs meet quality and reliability standards.
  • Investigating recurring equipment failures and implementing improvements.
  • Managing spare parts inventory and ordering materials.
  • Coordinating with suppliers and contractors when needed.
  • Maintaining maintenance records and work orders.
  • Assisting with budgeting and resource planning.

About you

  • Strong maintenance supervisor background.
  • Mechanical trade qualified
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning systems
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or asset maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements.
