Role – Maintenance Fitter
Company – Food Manufacturer
Location – Campbellfield, Melbourne VIC

Type – Full Time Permanent Position
Rate – $52 – $56 p/h + super 
Overtime – PLENTY OVERTIME AVAILABLE!!
Must be PR or Austraian/NZ Citizen
Shift – Dayshift OR Nightshift (30% shift loading added)

Due to ongoing growth and increased production demand, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their high performing engineering team at their Campbellfield facility.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of production equipment across a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across production and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and fault-find mechanical issues to minimise downtime
  • Perform repairs, installations, and equipment upgrades
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Work closely with production teams to maximise plant performance
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with food manufacturing standards
  • Contribute to site projects and equipment improvement programs

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Previous experience within food, beverage, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and automated equipment
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
