The Role
Reporting to the Regional Quality Manager and with a dotted reporting line to the Site Manager, the Quality Manager will take ownership of food safety and quality across the site.
Responsibilities include:
- Own food safety and quality activities across the site
- Maintain and improve the site Quality and Food Safety Management System
- Drive compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRC, AIB and customer requirements
- Manage product testing, release, non-conforming product and blocked stock
- Lead internal, customer and third-party audit preparation and close-out
- Investigate complaints, incidents and quality issues using effective root cause analysis
- Monitor quality KPIs, identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Partner closely with production and site leaders to strengthen quality ownership
- Support NPD trials, product changes and site-based improvement projects
- Deliver quality training, toolbox sessions and practical coaching across the site
Your Background
In order to be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience within quality in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and recognised certification standards
- Exposure to audits, complaints, investigations and corrective actions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The confidence to operate independently in a standalone site role
- A practical, solutions-focused and improvement-oriented mindset
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline
