An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Materials Planning Lead to join a large, well established and highly respected food manufacturing business based in regional Australia. Reporting into the Supply Chain leadership team, you will lead the Materials Planning function, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials and packaging to support production. You’ll play a key role in optimising inventory, driving planning excellence and leading a high performing team in a fast paced manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Materials Planning function within a complex food manufacturing environment.
- Develop and execute material supply plans that align with production requirements and customer demand.
- Ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging to support manufacturing operations.
- Partner closely with Procurement, Production, Demand Planning and Logistics to optimise supply chain performance.
- Manage inventory levels while balancing service, cost and working capital objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems and reporting.
- Lead, coach and develop a high performing planning team.
About You
- Proven experience in Materials Planning within the food manufacturing industry is essential.
- Previous experience leading planning teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, production planning and end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP planning systems.
