Product Development Engineer

The Opportunity
Due to continued business growth, an exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced Product Development Engineer to join a collaborative and innovative engineering team. A market leader within Australia who are now investing in Product Development as they continue to take market share and introduce innovative products. 

Role
This role is ideal for an engineer with proven end to end product development experience, taking products from concept and design through to validation, manufacturing and commercialisation. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas, influence product strategy and drive meaningful improvements across product development processes.

Working in a flexible and autonomous environment, you’ll collaborate closely with cross functional teams while taking ownership of your own projects. If you’re passionate about innovation, quality and continuous improvement, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Product Design Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience delivering end to end product development within a manufacturing environment
• Experience developing products within the medical device, defence or mobile equipment industries will be highly regarded
• Strong experience with SolidWorks and engineering drawings
• A strong understanding of design controls, quality systems and structured product development workflows
• Proven experience supporting products through design, prototyping, testing, validation and manufacture
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and introduce new ideas that improve product performance and engineering outcomes
