Salary Package: $140,000 + Super
Lead Maintenance on a Growing Food Manufacturing Site
Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor, Leading Hand or Maintenance Team Leader ready to take the next step in your career?

Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in leading a team of tradespeople, coordinating maintenance activities, improving plant reliability and ensuring production targets are supported through effective maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of maintenance tradespeople.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
  • Coordinate maintenance rosters and labour allocation.
  • Drive a positive culture focused on safety, accountability and teamwork.
  • Support performance management and ongoing employee development.

Maintenance & Reliability

  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Respond to breakdowns and drive timely fault resolution.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and plant optimisation.
  • Work closely with production teams to maximise operational performance.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture across the maintenance function.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS policies and site procedures.
  • Participate in risk assessments, investigations and corrective actions.
  • Monitor contractor compliance and safe work practices.

About You To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams within manufacturing environments.
  • Mechanical Fitter or Electrical trade qualification.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling and workforce coordination.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the front.
  • Experience within food manufacturing, meat processing or FMCG environments will be highly regarded.
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 production operation when required.
