Are you a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter looking for a role that offers a structured 4 on / 4 off roster, strong earning potential and the opportunity to work with a leading food manufacturing business?

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team at a well-established food manufacturing facility based in Dandenong.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically minded tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and wants genuine work-life balance through a rotating day and night shift roster.

The Role
Working as part of a highly experienced maintenance team, you will be responsible for keeping high-speed food manufacturing and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment
• Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
• Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors and processing equipment
• Mechanical changeovers, adjustments and equipment optimisation
• Completing maintenance records and using the site’s CMMS
• Working closely with the production and engineering teams
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and food manufacturing standards

About You
We are looking for a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who ideally has experience working within:

• Food manufacturing
• FMCG
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Packaging
• High-volume production environments

You will ideally have:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter
• Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Pneumatic and hydraulic experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong safety-first mindset
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
