Applicants must be New Zealand citizens & willing to relocate to Australia independently. 
This role will be based in Sydney, relocation assistance is not provided.

The Opportunity
Blackbook Recruitment is seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters currently based in New Zealand who are interested in relocating to NSW, Australia, for a permanent opportunity within the FMCG manufacturing industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded tradesperson to join an established manufacturing operation, maintaining production machinery, resolving breakdowns and supporting reliable day-to-day production.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete effective repairs.
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and other industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to equipment reliability improvements.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain high standards of workplace safety.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent relevant experience.
• New Zealand citizenship and willingness to relocate to NSW.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, packaging or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and production machinery.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Basic electrical aptitude is advantageous.
