Opportunity to join a major international company in in construction materials manufacturing. Nationally, the business has branches in every state and territory in Australia with 500 employees and revenue of $800 million. Role oversees their service branches, involving the cutting, bending and supply of construction products to customers. The position covers various branches across the VIC and TAS region.

The Role

Reporting into the Regional Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Deliver work health and safety strategy in line with business model  
  • Contribute to enhancing health and safety performance and analysing incident trends
  • Lead incident investigations, identify hazards, and conduct risk assessments
  • Assist leaders in the effective implementation and communication of the health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures
  • Ensure safety systems comply with local legislation
  • Conduct audits of business processes associated with high-risk activities
  • Drive safety culture through health and safety initiatives and delivering training sessions


Your Background

In order to be successful in this role, you will:

  • Background in manufacturing/operations with a solid understanding of WHS systems
  • The ability to work independently, whilst collaborating with key stakeholders to influence a positive culture and engage employees with safety
  • Technical knowledge of WH&S business mode integration
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
  • An innovative and creative approach to safety with a proactive attitude
