Newly Created | Senior Account Manager / Business Development Manager | Hybrid Working | DDS & Independent Retail Focus

About the Company:
Our client is a fast-growing, vertically integrated homewares business operating internationally but Australian owned, known for delivering high-quality, competitively priced products through full control of their supply chain, manufacturing, and warehousing.

With hundreds of SKUs and a strong focus on innovation and new product development, they are a leader in their categories and continue to expand their presence in the Australian market.

To support this growth, a newly created opportunity has opened for a Senior Account Manager / Business Development Manager to take ownership of a 7-figure retail portfolio with significant upside.

The Role:
This is a high-impact, autonomous role focused on managing and expanding the business’s footprint across Discount Department Stores (DDS) and independent retail groups nationally.

You’ll work closely with buyers and internal teams to drive sales, introduce new products, and uncover untapped growth opportunities within the channel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a 7-figure national retail portfolio
  • Identify and close new business opportunities within DDS and independents
  • Build strong commercial relationships with key stakeholders
  • Align internal NPD and supply chain capabilities to customer needs
  • Lead pricing, forecasting, and promotional planning

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in account management, BDM or retail sales (FMCG, consumer goods or general merchandise)
  • Experience working with DDS and/or independent retail channels is highly desireable
  • Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, product-focused environments
