National Account Manager – Major Retailers | Manage & Grow Tier 1 Accounts | Future Leadership Pathway

To support this growth, an exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of major national retail accounts — with a clear path toward future leadership roles such as Country Manager or Sales Director.
The Role:
This is a pure national account management role – no new business hunting, just a strong focus on growing existing Tier 1 relationships and closing whitespace.
You’ll be the key point of contact for some of the biggest retail names in the country, including:
- Coles & Woolworths
- Kmart
- Costco
- Officeworks
- Other Wesfarmers group businesses
This is a highly strategic role where you’ll lead account planning, drive range expansion, and collaborate with internal teams to bring new products and solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key national retail accounts across grocery, mass, and general merchandise
- Identify whitespace and drive incremental revenue within existing account structures
- Partner with buyers to deliver compelling product solutions and maximise shelf presence
- Collaborate with NPD, category, and supply chain teams to deliver on customer expectations
- Lead strategic planning, forecasting, promotional planning, and performance reporting
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years in National Account Management, ideally with exposure to major retailers
- Experience across grocery, mass retail, or general merchandise highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of growing complex accounts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and internal stakeholder management skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive execution at scale
