The Role
This position provides hands on support for day-to-day food safety and quality operations, offering exposure to a high-volume FMCG environment. Working alongside the FSQ team, you’ll be responsible for product sampling, testing, audits, and documentation to ensure compliance and deliver safe, high-quality products to consumers. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process product, and finished goods.
- Carry out accurate documentation to food safety and qaulity standards.
- Review production and quality records, highlighting non-conformances and supporting corrective actions.
- Assist with product sensory testing, preparation, and recording of results.
- Enter results into the QMS/SharePoint and prepare weekly summary reports.
- Conduct internal GMP audits across production, warehouse, and lab areas.
- Coordinate outsourced testing with external laboratories and ensure results are recorded accurately.
- Support HACCP, calibrations, pest control, and other internal audit programs as required.
- Support incident investigations and subsequent root cause analysis, communicating findings clearly with the operations team and escalate breaches promptly.
- Assist with training operators on CCP/QCP checks and correct documentation practices.
Your Background
In order to be successful in this role, you will:
- Experience within food manufacturing in a quality related role.
- Qualifications in Food Science, Technology, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Exposure to laboratory and microbiological/physical testing an advantage.
- Strong time management and confidence to work across different teams.
