The Company
We’re partnering with a national, asset-intensive Australian business with a strong market presence and a long-term commitment to operational excellence and technology investment.
The organisation operates a complex enterprise environment and continues to invest in its infrastructure capability to support reliability, growth and business-critical operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving the organisation’s core infrastructure environment while contributing to approved infrastructure projects and initiatives. This is a hands-on technical role, not a purely strategic or advisory position.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure in line with agreed SLAs
- Managing and delivering approved infrastructure projects and workstreams
- Acting as a technical escalation point for support teams
- Managing vendors and third-party service providers
- Implementing secure, robust and well-governed infrastructure solutions
- Supporting disaster recovery testing and change management processes
- Ensuring all work is delivered safely and in line with OHSE requirements
- Identifying recurring issues and driving root-cause resolution
- Contributing to continuous improvement and infrastructure optimisation
Your Background
You’re a technically capable Infrastructure Engineer with strong enterprise experience and a proactive, service-focused mindset.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in Infrastructure or ITS roles
- Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft technologies and cloud services
- Experience with virtualisation, storage, backup and replication technologies
- Knowledge of security hardware, voice systems and wireless infrastructure
- Experience supporting SaaS / IaaS environments
- Solid understanding of ITIL and infrastructure best practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in asset-intensive or operational environments (highly regarded)
- Microsoft certification or equivalent practical experience is required. Tertiary IT qualifications are desirable.
