The Company
Our client is a leader in their industry and, due to continued growth, is seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to join their team. This key, business-critical role is based on-site in Melbourne and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing inventory-related activities, using your skills to identify trends, ensure accuracy, and collaborate with the wider team on continuous improvement (CI) activities. This is a full-time, permanent position in a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact.
The Role
Key responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage daily inventory tasks, including tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and working with warehouse teams.
- Address inventory issues, identify their root causes, and take corrective actions to maintain accurate stock records. This includes collaborating with other teams to improve inventory flow and support demand planning.
- Analyse inventory trends to improve forecasting and help optimise the supply chain.
- Use inventory software (ERP, WMS) to track stock and prepare regular reports for key stakeholders.
- Actively engage in CI activities to support cost-saving measures and improve overall processes.
Your Background
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment or a similar role.
- Experience using WMS and/or ERP software, as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Highly organised with excellent time management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a solutions-focused mindset.
