Leading Hand/Fitter — Food Manufacturing Industry
The Salary: Afternoon Shift (Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday)
Overtime: Plenty overtime available!!
Rate: $57.50 – $60 (Inclusive of 15% shift loading) + super + overtime!!

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join our food manufacturing operation. This hands on leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities, leading a small team, and ensuring plant reliability, safety, and compliance within a fast-paced food production environment.
You’ll work closely with Production and Engineering to minimise downtime, improve equipment performance, and uphold food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support maintenance trades on shift (mechanical/electrical as applicable)
• Allocate and prioritise daily maintenance tasks and breakdowns
• Perform hands-on maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on production equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Support and mentor team members, setting clear standards and expectations

About You

• Proven experience in maintenance within a food or FMCG manufacturing environment
• Trade qualified (Mechanical)
• Previous experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
