Night Shift Maintenance Electrician – Food Manufacturing Location: Wacol, Brisbane
Roster: Night Shift | 7 Day Fortnight
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a well established food manufacturing site on a permanent night shift roster. This is a great opportunity to secure a stable role within a high-performing maintenance team, supporting a busy FMCG production environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring plant and equipment reliability across night shift operations. Your focus will be on breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and maintain food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical fault finding and breakdown response on automated production lines
- Planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant and equipment
- Working with PLCs, sensors, motors, VSDs, and control systems
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, OH&S, and electrical standards
- Accurate completion of maintenance records and work orders (CMMS)
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
About You
- A-grade Electrical Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding skills in automated and high-speed production environments
- Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems
- Ability to work independently on night shift
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
