Contract Maintenance Electrician – Food Manufacturing 
Location: Laverton, Campbellfield & Dandenong 
Contract: 6 Months (potential for extension, permanent role afterwards and other contract opportunities)
Hourly Rate: $60 – $70 p/h + super + overtime + penalties
Overtime: Daily Overtime & Weekend Overtime Available

The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join the team on a 6 month contract. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production equipment, carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting electrical breakdown and preventative maintenance across plant equipment and production lines.
• Fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated machinery, packaging, and processing systems.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and food manufacturing standards.
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and maintain high efficiency.
• Assisting with continuous improvement projects and upgrades when required.

What We’re Looking For

• A-Grade Electrical Licence.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills, especially with PLCs and automated systems.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
