Role: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Nundah, Brisbane
Rate: $53.49 + shift loadings + Overtime
Industry: Food Manufacturing
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our engineering team within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring maximum machinery uptime, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
You will be responsible for electrical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and supporting production to minimise downtime while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production and packaging machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively
- Work with PLC systems to support fault finding and minor modifications
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Ensure all work complies with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Requirements
- QLD Electrical License
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing environment (food industry experience desirable)
- Strong fault finding skills on automated production equipment
- Experience with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar preferred)
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations in manufacturing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to shift work
