Maintenance Electrician – Food Manufacturing 
Locations: Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne

Pay: $71 p/h (inclusive of 30% SL) + overtime + company benefits

With a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement, this site operates state-of-the-art production lines supplying major retailers and foodservice customers across Australia.

The Role We’re seeking a trade qualified Maintenance Electrician to join the on site engineering team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production and packaging machinery to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance on food manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical and control system faults (PLC, sensors, VSDs, HMIs)
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Assist with continuous improvement and plant upgrade projects
• Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
• Adhere to site safety, HACCP, and GMP standards

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Electrician 
• Previous experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of PLC fault finding (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
• Sound understanding of mechanical systems (pneumatics, conveyors, packaging lines)
• Ability to work independently and in a team within a high-speed production environment
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
