Maintenance Fitter | Day Shift

The Opportunity
As a Maintenance Fitter, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running safely and efficiently. Working closely with the operations team, you’ll carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and contribute to ongoing reliability improvements across the site. This is a day shift position offering flexible start and finish times, regular overtime, and the opportunity to join a business that genuinely invests in its people.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support reliability and condition monitoring initiatives.
• Assist with capital projects and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Plan and record maintenance activities through the site’s CMMS.
• Work closely with production to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift reporting.

About You

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• A proactive approach with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
