Maintenance Fitter — Food Manufacturing Industry
Location: Carole Park, Queensland
The Salary: Afternoon Shift – $132,350 or Nightshift – $152,500 (this is paid at hourly rates with plenty overtime available)
Overtime: Plenty overtime available!!
Shifts: Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday 2pm-1pm – Nightshift – (10:30pm: 6:30am) Sunday night start at 10.30pm finish Friday morning 6.30am.

The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, reliable, and safe operation of all production machinery. This includes attending breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs efficiently
• Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment

Skills & Experience

• Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Fitter)
• Experience in food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing (ideal)
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills
• Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, pumps, bearings, motors, and gearboxes
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breakdowns
• Solid understanding of safety procedures and GMP
