Roster – 7 days on 7 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights off (12 hour shifts)

We are currently recruiting for a leading and well-established FMCG business in Mildura, offering an opportunity to join a high-performing manufacturing operation with a strong reputation, modern production facilities and a genuine focus on its people.

The Opportunity
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in keeping a busy FMCG production facility running efficiently. Working alongside an experienced maintenance team, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of production and processing equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified fitter who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants the opportunity to significantly increase their earnings through overtime.

About the RoleYour responsibilities will include:

• Preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment
• Mechanical fault finding and breakdown response
• Repairs, servicing and continuous improvement of plant and machinery
• Working across conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics and automated production equipment
• Supporting planned maintenance programs
• Minimising production downtime
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Working closely with production and other members of the maintenance team

About YouWe are looking for a qualified Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter who ideally has:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Fitting
• Previous experience in Manufacturing
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong safety focus
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within a leading manufacturing business
