Food Manufacturing Wacol, Brisbane
Permanent – Full Time
Afternoon shift – 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday
Overtime – weekly overtime available!
$58-$60 P/H + overtime + super + (inclusive of 15% afternoon shift allowance)

A leading Australian food manufacturing business operating a high volume production facility in Wacol, Brisbane is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its onsite engineering team. This site produces well known food products and operates in a fast paced, safety driven environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring plant reliability and minimising downtime across processing and packaging operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preventative and reactive maintenance on food processing and packaging machinery
- Fault finding and breakdown repairs on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Working closely with production teams to maintain output and efficiency
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with GMP, food safety, and OH&S standards
- Completing maintenance records using CMMS systems
About You To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter
- Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or high speed production environments
- Strong mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with packaging machinery and automated production lines
- A proactive, safety-first approach and strong team mindset
