Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing

Location: Murray Bridge, SA 

$50–$53/hr + Allowances + Shift Loading + Super | $115k–$120k Package (excl OT) Full‑time | Permanent

Looking for a long‑term role close to home? We’re seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join a high‑performing maintenance team at a large food manufacturing site located just outside Murray Bridge.
This role suits a mechanically strong, hands‑on fitter who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working with a supportive, experienced team.

• $50–$53/hr base rate
• 15% shift loading on afternoon shift
• Tool, boiler attendance & award allowances
• On‑call roster with penalty rates
• Stable, long‑term permanent role

The Role You’ll be responsible for mechanical maintenance across a busy production facility, including:

• Preventative & reactive maintenance
• Work on conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps & processing equipment
• Fabrication & welding (MIG essential; TIG/STIG beneficial)
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
• Occasional weekend work (every third weekend) with an RDO during the week

Shifts & Roster Monthly rotation across:

• 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM

You’ll work a standard 5‑day week with rostered weekends built into the cycle.

About You We’re looking for a fitter with:

• Strong experience in heavy industrial or FMCG environments
• Confidence working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors & mechanical plant
• Welding/fabrication skills (MIG essential)
• A proactive, safety‑focused approach
• A willingness to learn within a senior, supportive team
