Rate – $48.51 then to $50.21 October 1st.
Hours – Dayshift – 5am-1pm Monday to Friday

The Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of a busy manufacturing plant by carrying out both preventative and breakdown maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Mechanical breakdown repairs across production equipment
• Preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Fault finding and root cause analysis
• Servicing conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Equipment installations and continuous improvement projects
• Working closely with production to minimise downtime
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality

About YouTo be successful, you’ll ideally have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner
• Previous experience in manufacturing, food, FMCG, packaging or industrial environments
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
• A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
