Maintenance Fitters – Young, NSW Permanent Full-Time Opportunities

$49–$57/hr Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for a long-term opportunity with strong earning potential, job security, and a great team culture?

We are seeking multiple Maintenance Fitters to join a well-established food production facility in Young, NSW. Working within a modern processing environment, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting production uptime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Breakdown and preventative maintenance across processing and packaging equipment
• Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
• Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Supporting planned shutdowns, repairs and equipment upgrades
• Assisting with installations and continuous improvement projects
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently
• Working closely with production teams to maximise plant reliability and performance

About You To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Certificate III) or equivalent
• Experience in FMCG, food processing, manufacturing, agricultural or industrial environments
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and rotating equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience highly regarded
• A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
