Leading agricultural organisation seeking a Maintenance Planner in Robinvale to schedule maintenance and support safe operations.
The Company
An industry-leading agricultural organisation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the team based in Robinvale. This is a critical role responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
This role ensures maintenance work is properly scoped, prioritised, and managed through the CMMS, with labour, materials, and contractor resources effectively aligned to minimise operational downtime and disruption.
The role
Reporting to the Maintenance Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and manage daily and weekly maintenance schedules in line with operational requirements and site priorities.
- Coordinate labour, materials, spare parts, and contractor resources for planned maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance work orders are correctly scoped, prioritised, and scheduled within the CMMS.
- Work closely with site operations teams to reduce downtime and minimise operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate and reliable CMMS data, including asset information, work order history, and maintenance costs.
- Standardise maintenance planning procedures, job plans, and workflows across multiple sites.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within maintenance systems and processes.
- Track labour, contractor, and parts expenditure against maintenance plans and budgets.
- Assist with maintenance cost forecasting and support adherence to approved budgets.
- Produce regular reports on maintenance performance, including budget tracking, schedule compliance, backlog status, and work order completion.
Your Background:
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling across industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural operations.
- Proficient in the use of CMMS platforms, including MaintainX, SAP, Pronto, or equivalent systems.
- Strong knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance practices and strategies.
- Proven ability to coordinate labour, materials, spare parts, and contractor resources efficiently.
- Sound understanding of maintenance budgeting, cost management, and performance reporting.
- Skilled in analysing operational data to deliver actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators to monitor maintenance performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, stores, contractors, and finance teams.
- Familiarity with LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiency.
