Maintenance Shift Fitter – Singleton
Immediate Start | 6-Day Fortnight | $49 – $57/hr + Super
Join a Leading Meat Processing Facility We’re seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join a large and growing meat processing operation offering excellent rates, long-term job security, and a unique roster that provides plenty of time off.

Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you’ll be responsible for keeping critical production equipment running efficiently while contributing to the ongoing reliability of the site. Immediate Start Available
6-Day Fortnight Roster
12.6 Hour Shifts
Rotating starts between 11:00am and 12:00am

About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability across a busy meat processing facility. You’ll be responsible for preventative maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs and continuous improvement initiatives across a range of production and processing equipment.

This role suits a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys working in a high-volume manufacturing environment and thrives on solving problems to keep production moving.
Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance on processing equipment
  • Fault finding and breakdown response
  • Mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
  • Working on pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance
  • Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping

About You

  • Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent trade qualification
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter in manufacturing, food processing, meat processing, FMCG or a similar industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Full Australian working rights

Highly Regarded

  • Meat processing or food manufacturing experience
  • Experience with steam systems
  • TIG and Stick welding skills
  • Exposure to industrial refrigeration systems
  • Experience maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and processing equipment
