Operations Systems Analyst – Manufacturing Operations

The Company 
Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturing organisation with a long-standing presence across multiple production facilities nationally. Operating within a fast-paced industrial environment, the business is heavily focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strengthening the use of systems and data to improve plant performance. This is a site-based role supporting a large-scale 24/7 manufacturing operation and offers excellent long-term career development across operations, engineering, continuous improvement, and broader manufacturing leadership pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyse operational reports covering production, quality, reliability, inventory, labour, and performance metrics.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting for site leadership teams, including presentation of key trends, risks, and operational issues.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Quality teams to improve operational visibility and support data-driven decision making.
  • Support operational systems, reporting tools, dashboards, and data integrity across the manufacturing site.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives including root cause analysis (RCA), process mapping, Kaizen activities, audit follow-ups, and action tracking.
  • Identify reporting inefficiencies and support improvements to operational systems, dashboards, and site processes.
  • Engage with frontline operators, supervisors, and leadership teams to improve system adoption, accountability, and operational discipline across the site.
  • Support audits, governance activities, SOP reviews, and compliance reporting where required.
  • Assist operational leaders with identifying performance trends, production bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.

Your Background/Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or similar disciplines.
  • 1-4 years’ experience within a manufacturing, industrial, operations, or production environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret operational data and communicate practical insights.
  • Experience working with reporting systems, operational dashboards, or manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, Power BI, production reporting platforms, or similar.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability with experience managing and analysing large datasets.
  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean, RCA, Kaizen, or process improvement activities highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to work directly with operational and frontline teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
