The Company
Our client Is a leading food manufacturing business with a strong presence in the industry. They are seeking a Procurement Officer, to oversee the packaging portfolio to work closely with the existing supply chain team.
 
The Role
Reporting to the leader of the procurement team, and working closely with the wider internal stakeholders, the role will be based in SW Sydney.
Key responsibilities include:

• Sourcing and procuring both primary and secondary packaging materials that will be used for finished goods and in the manufacturing process.
• They need someone who is confident on leading negotiations, managing suppliers and overseeing cost targets.
• Supporting inventory planning and working with both domestic and international logistics providers.   

 
Your Background
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Solid experience of managing packaging procurement within food, beverage, cosmetics, FMCG or a similar regulated environment.
• Proven ability of sourcing, negotiating and managing suppliers.
• Prior experience of supporting NPD and operational teams in a manufacturing setting.
