Our client is an established and growing business with a strong presence in their market. Due to continued growth and increased demand, they are looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join a collaborative and fast-paced team.
 
This is a business-critical role focused on ensuring continuity of supply, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies across the procurement function. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Melbourne.
 
The Role
The key responsibilities of this role will include, but not limited to;

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities across a broad supplier base, both locally and internationally
• Work closely with internal teams to anticipate requirements and avoid supply disruptions
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure processes are followed within internal systems
• Drive cost control initiatives through effective negotiation and ongoing supplier engagement
• Continuously review the supplier base, introducing alternatives where it improves commercial outcomes or reduces risk
• Act as the key point of contact for supplier relationships, resolving issues and improving overall performance
• Support broader operational objectives by aligning procurement activity with business needs

 
Your Background

• Previous experience in a purchasing or supply-related role within a dynamic environment
• Confident working with external partners and influencing commercial outcomes
• Numerate and detail-oriented with a practical, business-focused mindset
• Comfortable working across different teams and juggling multiple priorities
• Familiarity with internal systems and tools used to manage purchasing activities is beneficial
