As part of an exciting phase of growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their engineering team and play a key role in delivering capital projects that will shape the future of their manufacturing facility.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will be responsible for delivering capital engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to specification.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of capital projects from initial scoping through to commissioning and handover.
• Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules and business cases.
• Coordinating internal stakeholders, contractors and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Driving project outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance.
• Managing project risks, timelines and budgets while providing regular updates to key stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing capability and plant performance.
• Ensuring all projects are delivered in line with engineering standards and company processes.

Your Background

To be successful, you will bring:

• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects within a food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling and contractor management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
