The Company

Our client is a market leader in their category, known for their strong brand presence and ongoing investment in innovation and site capability. They are now seeking a Project Engineer to join their team and take ownership of capital and operational projects at their site based in East Gippsland, VIC. This role plays a key part in delivering engineering projects on time, within budget, and to scope — helping drive site performance and long-term growth.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Projects Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of site-based projects from concept through to commissioning.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full program of planned capital works and improvement projects.
• Delivering end-to-end project outcomes — from feasibility and design through to installation, handover, and commissioning.
• Ensuring all projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Driving project standards and consistency within established frameworks, systems, and processes.
• Engaging and collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.

Your Background

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or related discipline).
• Ideally 3-5 years of proven project engineering experience within a food or FMCG manufacturing environment. 
• A track record of leading multi-disciplinary capital projects from concept to completion.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels of the business.
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, with the ability to manage, report on, and execute complex capital programs.
