The Company
A fast-growing Australian manufacturer is expanding and is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance Supervisor to support this next phase of growth. The business is a major supplier to national retailers and has recently doubled business following successful new product launches. This is an opportunity to join a scaling, energetic team where you can make a genuine impact and grow with the business.
The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of food safety and quality systems across dairy production, as well as oversight of contract manufacturers, ensuring operational control and compliance standards are upheld. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and improving HACCP and SQF systems
- Driving food safety compliance and audit readiness
- Overseeing product release and microbiological testing programs
- Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
- Managing documentation, procedures and regulatory updates
- Supporting new product launches and process validation
- Providing guidance and coaching to production staff on food safety, hygiene and quality requirements
- Supporting and mentoring a QC team member
- Identify opportunities to strengthen quality systems as production scales, ensuring processes remain efficient and audit-ready
Your Background
In order to be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience in dairy manufacturing (liquid dairy experience essential)
- Strong understanding of dairy production process
- Strong working knowledge of SQF
- Exposure to audit processes and compliance management
- Experience managing sampling programs and interpreting laboratory data
- Confidence working closely with production staff and wider team
- Bring energy to your role and have a willingness to get stuck in
