About the Company
This role sits within a well-established manufacturing organisation in East Melbourne that operates a large, state-of-the-art production facility. The site is focused on delivering quality products at scale and is undergoing continuous improvement to strengthen systems, processes and audit readiness in support of operational growth and customer satisfaction.The culture is collaborative, supportive and outcomes-driven, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and doing things the right way.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the end-to-end Quality Management System (QMS) across the Melbourne site.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 surveillance activities.
- Develop, review and implement quality processes, procedures and work instructions.
- Drive effective data-led root cause analysis and CAPA activities, including customer complaint management.
- Work closely with Operations and Technical teams to ensure quality systems are practical, understood and followed on the production floor.
- Influence across functions to improve compliance, accountability and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Provide clear reporting on quality performance and system health.
Your Background
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a Quality Systems / Quality Engineer role, preferably within a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and quality auditing.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and track corrective actions to resolution.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to data and metrics.
- Ability to build credibility on the floor and influence without direct authority.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies advantageous.
- Candidates from highly regulated sectors such as automotive, medical or industrial manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
