Website Blackbook Executive
South Queensland Regional Sales Manager with an industry leader, opportunity to lead a team and your owbn portfolio
About the Opportunity
Our client is a nationally recognised leader in the equipment and materials solutions industry supplying major construction and infrastructure projects across Australia.
The Role
This is a senior, player-coach leadership position reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, and sits as part of the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll carry dual accountability: driving your own personal revenue and client portfolio, while leading, coaching, and performance-managing a team of Sales Representatives across South Queensland.
You’ll be a commercially sharp operator who is just as comfortable closing your own deals as you are developing others to do the same – someone who sets the standard through action, not just direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of seven Sales Representatives through coaching, structured performance reviews, and accountability frameworks
- Maintain a personal client portfolio and budget, actively generating new business and growing existing accounts
- Build a high-performance culture centred on activity, responsiveness, and results
- Drive quote volumes, meeting frequency, and client/site engagement across the team
- Represent the region’s performance, pipeline, and market intelligence at Senior Management level
- Contribute to company-wide strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs
About You
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within equipment hire, construction, infrastructure, or a related B2B environment
- A track record of both personal sales success and team leadership — a genuine “player-coach”
- Strong coaching and performance management capability
- Confident operating at a strategic level while staying hands-on with clients and sites
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, South Queensland
Why Apply
South Queensland is one of the most active construction and infrastructure markets in the country, with significant government capital investment planned over the coming years. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with genuine influence, autonomy, and career growth – with a business positioned at the centre of this activity.
