Established tier 1 building materials manufacturer, seeking a Sales & Operations leader to join the business as the new Commercial Area Manager. Lead 2 Branch Managers and 2 BDM’s and supporting a large network of Branches across Vic/TAS.

This is a pivotal role in the business, where you’ll be responsible to the two manufacturing sites which have huge growth potential. You will work with senior managers, creating and implementing strategies to drive sales, operational excellence and foster a culture of safety across the two sites.

Role:

• Develop a sales pipeline and drive sales and business opportunities with key clients
• Lead and drive a culture of safety and operational excellence. 
• P&L management of 2 x branches
• Manage and achieve cost deficiencies via strong strategic management
• Develop and maintain key customer relationships by providing construction and product advice
• Maintain branch services and customer excellence. 
• Assist Branch Managers in leading their teams to achieve KPI’s.

Background:

• Experience managing a heavy industrial manufacturing branch, or multi-site management within a ‘Just in time and/or made to order environment’
• Strong knowledge of operational excellence with a deep understanding of safety principles. 
• Customer centric approach with experience leading and supporting a sales team
• P&L management with strong negotiation and communications skills
• Experience implementing CI and Operational improvement policies and strategies
